Dan Miller explains:

... Lester (apparently, the guy who selected my donut mix): "I gave him a mix."

DD employee: "See, these look like mostly chocolate."

Lester: "Well I was just trying to get rid of the donuts we have a lot of." ...

Best iced coffee ever

Michaela reports the Ruggles Dunkin' Donuts has some guy who made such a good French vanilla iced coffee with sugar and milk that:

By the time I got to Back Bay station. I wish I asked him his name and hours for September so I can specifically go out of my way to get that iced coffee again and again when I'm back in Boston for good.

Getting a cruller instead of a jelly stick this morning was the last straw for Mels:

Every time I go to the Dunkin Donuts at work, something is wrong with my order. ...

Wait! They have crullers again?

Photo of tourist at Boston Common: Marline is smiling, because she's just had a coffee from Dunkin Donuts, a commodity that she can't get in Seminole, Okla.

She was very pleased to be within walking distance of more than a dozen of them.

We start 'em young in Boston

Christine Bower reports that when she got her free iced coffee at Dunkin' Donuts a couple weeks ago, she was behind two kids, looking about 6 and 9, who were also there for their free coffees:

... The younger boy wasn't able to read the Red Sox posters hanging in the shop, and the older kid struggled to sound out the words. After they got their Free Iced Coffees and left, I was actually a bit dumbfounded. My first instinct was to pity their adults, because the boys would be a handful that evening (this was about 6 pm); my second instinct was that if you allow children that you are responsible for to wander around a major city with no adult supervision, you deserve hyperactive, caffeinated brats.

Some Dunk's are more equal than others

Miss Von Schtoop acknowledges her Dunkin' addiction, but reports her need for a medium iced coffee with two Equals and a strawberry-frosted donut can only be fed at one particular store in South Boston:

... There are more than TEN (10) Dunkies within striking distance from my house and yet I will travel in my car to go to this one Dunkies in South Boston just for that particular chemical fix.

I AM a Masshole. Harbor water in my veins, a pot of beans for a brain. ...
