Bostonians heading into LAX will soon be able to satisfy their Dunk's cravings as the chain begins its westward expansion with outlets in Santa Monica, Whittier, Long Beach and Downey. Also, Modesto.

Inside the Government Center station

The T forwards this photo of the spot on the Government Center Green Line platform where the Dunkin' Donuts used to be as workers continue to tear apart the station as part of a two-year overhaul.

Also, the T reports workers uncovered another 100-year-old tile Scollay Under sign on one of the Blue Line platforms:

The goal is to keep it in place, and build the new stairs around it.

Around 9:15 p.m. by a black man, who jumped into a purple, 1999 Corolla, Mass. 2JG-D90, headed outbound. About 10 minutes later, a man in that car was stopped at Centre and Cedar streets in Roxbury.

Today was time to make the arrest, Canton PD reports: They say Isaiah Murphy is the man who's held up more than 20 Boston-area Dunkin' Donuts, including several in West Roxbury, in recent months.

Murphy was nabbed at his home around 10 a.m., police say, adding:

Evidence linking the suspect to many of the affected locations were uncovered.

Murphy is scheduled for arraignment tomorrow in Stoughton District Court.

WHDH reports Saugus Police have arrested a man who tried to rob a Dunkin' Donuts this morning. No word yet if he's the same guy wanted for a couple dozen Dunk's holdups in recent months, including five in West Roxbury.

Boston Police report they are looking for a man who has been alternating between a knife and a gun as he holds up Dunkin' Donuts outlets along the Dedham line, most recently last night at the outlet at VFW Parkway and Spring Street.

Mike Moura reports the Dunkin' Donuts at VFW Parkway and Spring Street was held up shortly after 9 p.m. by a man in a mask who ran across the bridge into Dedham.

The Dunkin' Donuts on Washington Street near the Dedham line was held up at knifepoint last week.

Wicked Local Brookline reports residents gathered copious amounts of righteous indignation before attending a hearing on a Dunkin' Donuts in Washington Square:

"You're putting something in that clashes pretty horribly with what the town has done to create this attractive destination," he said. "I'm profoundly disappointed that we're getting a Dunkin' Donuts instead of something people will be looking forward to."

Boston Police report they are looking for an armed robber who is grabbing cash out of cash registers at Dunkin' Donuts and Mcdonald's across Dorchester, Roxbury and Mattapan, most recently Wednesday night at the Mass. Ave. McDonald's.

Police say in all six cases under investigation, the common thread has been a black male in his 30s, about 5'8", with a Hispanic, Haitian or Jamaican accent who either orders something or hangs out in the lobby for awhile, then pulls out a gun and either demands cash or jumps over the counter and takes it. In addition to the Mass. Ave. robbery, police are looking at:

Boston Police report they are looking for a man who held up the Dunkin' Donuts at 256 Boston St. around 10:50 p.m. on Tuesday. According to an employee, the guy entered the store and ordered a coffee:

The Dunkin' Donuts at 1955 Beacon St., which is already allowed to open 5 a.m. to 2 a.m., goes before the Boston Licensing Board next Wednesday, June 5, to fill in that three-hour gap and open all the time every day.

Board hearings start at 10 a.m. in its eighth-floor hearing room in City Hall.

WZLX reports that somewhere in eastern Mass., Dunkin' Donuts is testing:

An egg sandwich with bacon that is sandwiched between two halves of a glazed donut!
