The other day, Bostonography figured out the density of cemeteries in Boston (no Boston resident is more than 1.77 miles from a cemetery; ironically, the point most distant from a cemetery is the BU theology library). Interesting, but, of course, what any true Bostonian (specifically, Danielle Dreillinger) would really want to know: How far to the nearest Dunkin' Donuts?

Cordischi seemed to be getting beaten, so her pregnant friend got out of the car to try to break up the fight.

The pregnant woman screamed at Giangrande to get off her friend.

When Giangrande heard the scream, she allegedly turned around and cold-cocked the pregnant woman in the face – causing a laceration.

WBUR reports on the planned IPO of Dunkin' Brands and notes that the filing states there is one Dunk's for every 9,700 people in New England and New York. That ratio has got to be way lower within 128, right?

Dunkin' Donuts yesterday filed suit against the owners of four local franchises, alleging they tried to use a company charity fund to pay for their son's tuition at an exclusive private school.

In its suit against Houman and Heather Baiany, who own Dunkin' Donuts shops at 530 and 1020 Commonwealth Ave. in Boston and 154 Highland Ave. and 850 Broadway in Somerville, the chain charges the two tried to put one over on its "marketing development fund," which lets Boston-area franchisees get reimbursed for up to $2,000 per store each year for donations to local charities.

For some reason, the Globe today posted a map showing every single Dunkin' Donuts and Starbucks in this great state of ours. Not surprisingly, greater Boston is just one giant blotch of red (the color they used to show Dunk's outlets). But that got me to thinking (often not a good thing). Where, exactly, is the galactic center of this vast coffee way?

Theoretically, should be easy enough to calculate: Just grab all the coordinates of all those pushpins, average them out, and voila.

The good news is that Dunkin' Donuts is opening a store in Wellfleet, the Herald reports. Only two more towns to go before Dunks are everywhere on the Cape! The bad news, the Herald also reports, is that great white sharks are expected back this summer, drawn by harbor seals and, no doubt, larded up customers from the Cape's many fine Dunkin' Donuts.
