Elect Mitt Romney President in 2008 Blog! (yes, complete with the exclamation point) comes to us from Cadiz, Ky. and is exactly what Romney Is A Fraud would be like if that were still being updated and its author were revealed to be Harrison Ford in "Regarding Henry." Or something.

Paul doesn't think much of Mitt Romney riding the Red Line for one stop to show how safe it is:

The Economist discusses gay marriage and Mitt Romney's presidential bid in an article charmingly titled The Slippery Slope to Bestiality (you'll have to pay to read the whole thing, but it starts by comparing Romney to a survivor of the 1919 Molasses Flood).

Geoff, a long-time Economist reader, is disgusted at what he considers trivialization of a generally civil (Romney's recent pandering excepted) debate on the issue here:

Ask James Rappaport how much a promise from Romney means. ...

Dean says Mitt Romney hasn't changed his abortion position since becoming governor, but that his strategist Mike Murphy should be kept as far away from the press as possible:

... If Murphy is capable of a screw-up like this when talking to the friendly National Review, perhaps he shouldn't be chatting it up with people from the Washington Post, New York Times and Boston Globe.

John, though, isn't buying the apologies and backtracking:

... There is something contradictory about all this though, on the one hand Mitt wants credit for adhering to his 2002 promise not to revise the Commonwealth's abortion laws, yet at the same time he wants to signal the wowsers he'll hang the abortion doctors as soon as he is elected President.
