Transit Police report they are looking for a man they say masturbated "in close proximity to a female" on a Red Line train between Davis and Alewife around 5 p.m. on Aug. 16.

If he looks familiar, contact detectives at 617-222-1050 or send an anonymous tip to 873873.

At least it's not signals this time. The MBTA reports a dead train at Davis is gumming up the works. Among those on one of the baby-steps trains behind it is WBZ 1030 anchor Karyn Regal, who has gone into newsradio mode and is reporting her ride:

There's a train pushing up daisies at Davis that is causing "moderate" delays on the Red Line and a train that took too many Eat Me cakes at Wonderland that is causing "minor" delays on the Blue Line.

Boston Restaurant Talk reports the impending opening of a new outlet that sells bagels and donuts.

No word if they will also sell arancini, pancakes, certain Chinese sticky buns and sourdough bread, but they should. And then they could call it Round the World or something.

Mark Novak noticed somebody put some extra layers on statues in Davis Square tonight.

Meanwhile, in Boston, ABCD is collecting clothing and donations to help residents get through the winter. Donations can be made at any ABCD office, including the main one at 178 Tremont St. downtown.
