The next installment of the board game night I help run in Allston at the Common Ground is happening (tomorrow) Tuesday, May 16th. We have about 35 board and card games to play. It's 21+ to get in and free admission (with food and/or beverage purchase). The Common Ground is at 85 Harvard Avenue in Allston. The nearest subway stop is the corner of Harvard/Comm Ave on the Green Line's "B" Train. The 66 and 57 buses also stop near by. They have surprisingly good food so come for dinner and then stay for the games.
There's more information at Exploit Boston, too.
Flickr Group for Boston Event Photos
A while ago I started up a Flickr group for my Exploit Boston event calendar+internet radio website. We're up to 77 participants who share photos taken around the greater Boston area. If you'd like to join us, sign up on the group's page at Flickr.
The latest five photos appear on the homepage of Exploit Boston and in a Flash badge at Bostonist.com. There's also a new "event photo spotlight" at EB. The first three spotlights are: Day Without Immigrants from Sushiesque, 2006 Boston Marathon Photos from Andy Carvin, and Zombies in Davis Square from Aero Racer E.

The Town of Brookline has been developing a plan for a municipal wireless network that could serve the public with community hotspots, provide services for municipal and public safety departments, and add a new competitive broadband provider to the mix for residents and businesses.
There will be a public hearing on December 1st (details below) to discuss the project. It will be open to the public but it is most important that individuals who live or work in Brookline attend. If you have friends or family in Brookline, please spread the word. This info can be linked to at www.universalhub.com/brooklinewifi

This Saturday, the Ellen M. Gifford Sheltering Home, the sole no-kill cat shelter in the Allston/Brighton area, is holding a yard/craft/bake-sale to raise funds from 9 AM to 3 PM.
This shelter is truly deserving of your support, as it serves as a safe-haven for cats in need of homes and never resorts to euthanasia (translation: up to 20 years of kitty litter, cat chow, and vet bills per cat!) There will be a raffle for gift certificates to local businesses; handmade jewelry, baked goods, crafts, and plants for sale. Not to mention all of the wonderful kitties looking for good homes.... The shelter is located at 30 Undine Road, off of Lake Street in Brighton. Lake Street is off Commonwealth Ave., just by Boston College (the last stop) on the B-Line.
