Hello out there in UniversalHub land. I have determined that what the internet lacks most of all is a personal blog about some schlub's experiences in and around [insert major city here]. I have decided to rectify that problem my moving my ramblings over here.

I will be blogging about Boston politics, the T, local music, dining, bars, sports, and life from the perspective of a 21-year-old Revere native now living in an apartment in Chestnut Hill, where I will be a senior this fall at Boston College.

$225,900 in statewide grants aim to help families cope with food and gas crisis

June 27, 2008 — EAST BOSTON — When school is out, kids who rely on free or reduced-price school meals need a safe place to go where they can get a healthy meal and have some summer fun. That’s why Project Bread is providing $10,000 in incentive grants to the Summer Food Service Program in Revere in an effort to help families cope with the skyrocketing cost of food and gas.

Our census correspondent, Mats Tolander, reports the latest government estimates show Suffolk County gained about 3,000 new residents in 2007 over 2006.
