Boston Police are looking for an SUV-driving white guy for the hold-up of the Eastern Bank branch at Centre and LaGrange streets around 1:30 p.m.

He's further described as being about 6'2" and wearing a black Nike cap and black sunglasses. He was reported to be driving a black mid-size SUV - Westie bank robbers don't bother messing with public transit.

Downtown Sovereign Bank branch held up; robber headed to Park Street T stop

Boston Police report the Sovereign branch at 1 Beacon St. was held up around 8:40 a.m.

The suspect is described as white, 5'11" and in his mid-20s. He was wearing a white hat and carrying a green nylon bag and was last spotted headed toward the Park Street T stop.

The FBI's Bank Robbery Task Force is looking for a man who held up a Financial District bank at gunpoint Tuesday afternoon.

The man is described as white, in his mid-20s, with strawberry blond facial hair.

He was wearing a long sleeve grey shirt underneath a short-sleeve dark gray T-shirt, grey sweatpants and a blue Polo baseball cap.

Boston Police report they found a woman who'd just robbed a bank in Downtown Crossing handing out money to kids in the South End thanks in part to the cab driver who drove her from bank to neighborhood.

At 125 Summer St. shortly before 5 p.m. by a short white guy who ran toward Washington Street.

The branch was last held up in July.

FBI hunts two robbers who hit the same TD Bank branch on Boylston Street

The FBI reports the TD Bank branch at 535 Boylston St. was held up Sunday afternoon by a man who gave a teller a note.

He's described as black, about 6 feet tall, mid 40s and heavy, and was wearing a brown knit hat with a stripe, white button down shirt with a white tank top underneath, dark colored pants and black sneakers.

The FBI is also looking for a white guy who pulled the same basic maneuver at the bank on Nov. 17. He's described as 5'8" or 5'9" with a medium build and in his 20s.

The branch was also held up on Aug. 4.

Boston Police tweet the Mt. Washington Bank branch at 501 Southampton St. was held up this afternoon by a white guy, about 20, 5'7" with a thin build and wearing a gray hoodie. Last seen running down Preble Street.

Uphams Corner bank held up

Boston Police are looking for a suspect in a bank robbery around 1:15 p.m. at the Sovereign Bank branch at 585 Columbia Rd.

The suspect is described as a black man, 5'5" to 5'7", weighing 200 to 220 lbs., with a beard and sunglasses. He left the bank in gray sweatpants, but took those off and was last spotted running in bluejeans.

The branch was also held up last October.

Gallivan Boulevard bank robbed; suspect in custody

The Mt. Washington Bank branch at 489 Gallivan Blvd. was held up around 2 p.m. by a man claiming to have both a gun and a bomb. He didn't get a chance to spend any of the money; though - arriving officers quickly arrested him.

Boston Police tweet the Sovereign Bank branch at 474 W. Broadway was held up this afternoon by a 20-year-old white man, slim, 5'4" and wearing a Green Bay hat.

The bank was also held up in June. The Eastern Bank branch at 470 W. Broadway has been held up so often tellers are beginning to get a bit tired of it all.

South End bank held up again

The Sovereign Bank branch at 505 Tremont St. was held up this afternoon, about two weeks after its last robbery.

The suspect was described as a skinny white guy, wearing a blue ball cap and a gray hoodie.

The FBI's Bank Robbery Task Force has posted photos of the guy who allegedly failed in a robbery attempt at a bank on West Broadway in South Boston last week because nobody would take him seriously.

Compare to the photos of the guy who managed to rob an East Broadway bank earlier this week.

Not all South Boston bank robbers answer to the name Starkwell

Boston Police tweet the Mt. Washington bank branch at 708 E. Broadway was held up this afternoon by a skinny white guy, about 18, 5'5" with blond hair and wearing a white T-shirt, a white hat and blue jeans.

Compare to the failed bank holdup last week a few blocks away on W. Broadway.

Some people may not be cut out for a life of crime. Boston Police report on one guy's attempt to rob the Eastern Bank branch at 470 W. Broadway yesterday evening:

On arrival, officers spoke to a bank teller who stated that the suspect came to her window and showed a note which said, "Give me all your money." The teller then told the suspect that the window was CLOSED. The suspect then proceeded to the next window where there was a customer in line. The suspect was then told to wait his turn in line and to remove his hood. A customer then also told the suspect to take off his hood. The suspect refused to take off his hood and left the bank without receiving any money.

Police say he was last seen walking (walking?) down Broadway toward F Street. He is still at large, police add.

Boston Police tweet the Sovereign branch at 505 Tremont St. in the South End was held up shortly after noon.

The suspect is described as a white man, 20-30, about 5'7" with a black hat with a red rim, black pants and a long-sleeved white shirt. A white guy with a goatee is wanted for two other Sovereign holdups this week.
