Republican State Committeeman asks police to investigate attack letter

David Rose, who represents the 1st Bristol and Plymouth district on the Republican State Committee, posts a copy of an attack letter somebody mailed him from Boston:

Your not as well liked as you think Rino. Rino hunting season will be here shortly be careful. Your trusted friends may not be trustworthy.

He adds that because of all the violent acts this week, he went to the Fall River police to file a complaint.

Did Steve Lynch just assure himself of opposition next year?

Lynch was one of 64 Democrats in the House tonight to vote for the so-called Stupak amendment to bar even private insurers from paying for abortions if they take any money at all from the government.

Representatives Tsongas, Markey, Delahunt, Capuano, Tierney, Olver, Frank and McGovern all voted no. Rep. Neal voted along with Lynch.

UPDATE: Lynch then joined his Mass. colleagues to vote for the president's health-care package.

Capuano gives a thumb's up to the Yankees

KennedySeat.com reports US Rep. (and Senate hopeful) Mike Capuano voted yes on a measure to congratulate the Yankees on their World Series win.

In fact, so did Reps. Frank, Lynch, Tierney, Markey, and Neal. Olver and Tsongas voted "present," McGovern didn't record a vote. Only Delahunt had the courage to vote "nay."
