NorthEndWaterfront.com reports on the picketing outside City Hall yesterday aver a proposed 44-story tower that would replace the Garden garage.

There's a public meeting on the proposal at 6:30 p.m. today at the third-floor Mass Eye and Ear Infirmary auditorium, 243 Charles St.

Harvard this week submitted new plans to the BRA for a science and engineering edifice along Western Avenue it says will become the hub of a new campus aimed at promoting "the translation of research ideas into successful products and services" and a powerful way to attract even more researchers and companies to the area. Emmanuel College has filed plans with the BRA for a 19-story, 691-bed dorm on its Longwood Medical Area campus.

The proposal replaces earlier plans, approved by the BRA in 2012, for a shorter dorm with more beds. Read more.

UPDATE: BRA agrees they sucked but says they've learned and don't suck anymore.

The state Inspector General's office says the BRA rushed through a deal to give the Red Sox control of Yawkey Way that included "illogical and questionable" methods of figuring out the street's value - based on the somewhat ludicrous premise that Yawkey Way was "blighted."

Immediate neighbors of a 19-unit, two-building condo proposal for land behind the Roslindale Square municipal parking lot raised issues of setback, privacy and loss of sun at a BRA meeting at the Roslindale Community Center tonight. Once the developer and his architect agreed to work on those, the talk turned, as it usually does, to parking - and the issue of increasing the housing stock in a neighborhood that has been largely been unaffected by the building boom hitting other parts of the city. Proposed Washington Village development near Andrew Square

A developer today filed its plans to turn a 4.9-acre collection of small industrial buildings into a new neighborhood with 656 residential units in eight buildings, 96,000 square feet of retail space - including a grocery store and a pharmacy - and 2.4 acres of "public realm" space.

In a filing with the BRA, Core Investments says its Washington Village - at Old Colony Avenue and Dorchester and Damrell streets - will include both apartments and condos at affordable, "mid-market" and market-rate prices. Read more.

Proposed Cambridge Street condos in Allston

Developer Babak Veyssi is seeking BRA approval to put 32 condos and retail space on what is now a vacant lot at 392 Cambridge St.

Veyssi's $7-million proposal also includes a 41-space garage for residents and a 17-space lot for the stores. Read more.
