Transit Police say a report on Facebook about fake ICE agents trying to shake down Hispanic T riders for their personal information was incorrect.

Transit Police say the report, originally reposted here, stemmed from a single incident in which an officer stopped somebody for an investigation into fare evasion.

North Station is so crowded with people trying to get on a commuter-rail train out of town that officials have shut the doors to the station. Meanwhile, people are continuing to pile up outside, so much so that Boston Police have shut Causeway Street to keep all those people safe.

Transit Police report a 50-year-old woman was hit and killed by an outbound Franklin Line train near the Guild Street bridge around 8:20 p.m.

Foul play is not suspected.

Transit Police report arresting a Dorchester woman on charges she threw hot coffee in a T worker's face around 9:30 p.m. yesterday.

Police say Janet Bourke, 61, of Dorchester, was trying to get into Broadway on the Red Line without paying when the worker spotted her and tried to stop her.

UPDATE, 1:25 p.m. The T will run buses instead of trolleys between North Station and Lechmere for the rest of Friday as it works to fix the signal problems.

The T is reporting "moderate" delays due to an Orange Line train that kicked the bucket somewhere between North Station and Ruggles. And signal problems on the Green Line at North Station mean it might take you less time to walk between there and Lechmere.

Transit Police report a man already facing charges for fare evasion, threatening T workers and punching a T cop was arrested again after being caught trying some more fare evasion at Chinatown on the Orange Line. Read more.

Transit Police report they are looking for Carmelo Maldonado, 50, of points unknown, for stealing at least three bikes from the Stony Brook stop on the Orange Line.

North Station after an Orange Line train dies

An Orange Line train gave up the ghost between North Station and Community College and now people are stacking up with no place to go. Courtney Hayes reports:

A couple hours ago, a Red Line train met its maker at Quincy Adams. The T is still reporting "minor" delays between Braintree and Quincy Center due to the "residual" effects of that.

UPDATE: Then the signals went on the fritz between Central and Kendall.

A train that had to be taken out back and shot at Charles/MGH is getting Red Line riders all grumbly.
