Man shot twice in Roslindale; might have been shot more but one of his attackers' guns jammed

A man walking down a dead-end street off Canterbury Street early Saturday was shot in the left shoulder and thigh, according to a police report.

The victim and his girlfriend told police they were on Pindedale Road, across from Sacred Heart School, around 1 a.m. on Saturday, when two men with guns approached and pulled their triggers. One of the guns, however, jammed, the report says.

The two men then ran onto Canterbury, where a car picked them up, witnesses told police.

The victim was taken to Beth Israel Hospital with injuries not considered life threatening.

The shooting is a few blocks away from the scene of a still unsolved 2010 murder on Rowe Street. Last May, residents of nearby Seymour Street reported early morning gunfire.

Channel 5 reports State Police are looking for three men who jumped a woman on Truman Parkway late Sunday night, showed a gun, punched her to the ground, then kicked her repeatedly.

A woman walking home from her job at Annabelle's in Cleary Square around 10:30 p.m. when she was attacked by the footbridge over the train tracks and the Neponset - across which her attackers fled. She then had to walk a half mile home to get help.

Separately, Boston Police are investigating a hold up on River Street near the YMCA around 10:15 p.m. on Wednesday, when another woman walking home was held up by two young teens armed with a baseball bat.

Police say one of the men jumped behind the wheel but managed to get only a short distance down Devens Street before colliding with two parked cars. The other man, police say, then ran up to the cab because in all the commotion, he'd forgotten to grab a "floral arrangement consisting of orange, yellow and red flowers" he'd brought with him.

Police say the two men, one wearing a Bruins T-shirt, the other a Celtics T, decided around 6 p.m. that rather than paying their fare, they'd hold up the cab driver.

Boston Police report two men were shot in the same incident outside 30 Hopewell Road last night.

Police say the two were shot around 10:10 p.m. One of the victims, 26, told police he heard multiple gunshots, then realized at least one of them had hit him.

When police first arrived on the scene, they found neither victims nor witnesses, but did find "ballistic evidence" at Hopewell and Osceola. Police say an unknown person scooped up both victims and drove them to Carney Hospital. Both are expected to survive, police say.

The shooting scene is a few blocks away from where a man was fatally shot last month.

Boston Police are investigating a shooting shortly before 9 p.m. behind the stores across Washington Street from Dorchester District Court.

The victim was taken to Boston Medical Center. Police are looking for a black male, about 5'7" with a thin build, dressed in a gray hoodie, dark pants and Nike Airmax sneakers.

Boston Police are looking for a guy who robbed the Subway at 981 Tremont St. around 9 p.m., possibly with a gun.

The robber, who motioned as if he had a gun, was described as black, in his late 40s, 5'8" and about 130 lbs. He wore black sunglasses, a navy cap under a dark hoodie and black sneakers with white soles. He was last spotted running toward Ruggles.

There was a fatal shooting at 132 Hyde Park Ave. around 6:30 p.m. at 132 Hyde Park Avenue, near Walk Hill, Scott Eisen reports.

Police shut Hyde Park Avenue as they began their investigation, but the road is now re-opened to traffic.

In the last 3 days in Boston, 10 people have been shot and 2 have died from gun shot wounds. In all likelihood, all of these crimes were committed with illegal guns.

Update, 12:50 p.m.: Boston Police report the victim, 20, died at Boston Medical Center.
