The Daily Free Press reports a woman walking to work around 6 a.m. on Sunday was held up by a guy who put a gun to her chest at Linden and Gardner streets.

An East Boston man who apparently had no time had no time to wait for a hair cut yesterday had plenty of time to wait for his arraignment on a variety of charges today.

Boston Police report arresting Manuel Medrano, 24, of East Boston on charges of threats, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, assault by means of a dangerous weapon and willful and malicious destruction of property following an incident yesterday afternoon at the Logan Barber Shop, 333 Sumner St. Police say Medrano entered the shop shortly before 1 p.m. and asked for a haircut:

Boston Police are looking for a gray hatchback, possibly a Prius or a Mazda 5, for a shooting this afternoon on Harold Street near Homestead Street in Roxbury.

Police say the vehicle may have some scratches on the front from where it hit the bicycle before the shooting.

Police say the victim, 20, was taken to Brigham and Women's Hospital and is expected to survive.

Boston Police are looking for a gunman they say held up Stonybrook Wine and Spirits on Tuesday night - and his getaway driver.

Police say a worker at the 80 Boylston St. store was standing outside around 9:40 p.m., when a light-complexioned black man with a "distinct 3-inch scar on his left cheek" approached and pointed a black gun at him.

The gunman ordered him back in the store and told him to empty the cash register. When he spotted a second worker, he ordered him behind the counter as well, police say - giving the first worker enough time to push a silent alarm.

Prior to police arrival the suspect fled with about $600 cash. A review of the cameras revealed a second suspect standby around the corner and a mini van or sport utility vehicle used in the getaway.

Boston Police executing a search warrant at an alleged drug dealer's 30 King Street home on Sunday found more than just drugs, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney's office: They also picked up a Ruger P345 .45 caliber semiautomatic handgun loaded with eight rounds, a BSA laser sight, a bulletproof vest; 47 live shotgun shells and almost 300 rounds of ammunition in calibers ranging from .22 to .45 in Sarro's bedroom.

Diana's Market, 1070 Hyde Park Ave., was held up around 9 p.m. by two men with a silver gun, who then ran down Arlington Street toward Central.

The suspects are described as Hispanic. One was about 6'1" and 200 lbs. and wearing a gray leather jacket. The other was about 5'6" and clad in dark clothes. They made off with cigarettes, lottery tickets and cash.

Police gave suspect a choice: He could hand over the plastic bags in his butt cheeks or they could reach in and pull them out

Boston Police report a man in his 20s was shot shortly before 2 p.m. at 23 Trull St. He was transported to Boston Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

The house is across the street from where Edward Andrade was fatally shot in the head last April.

Boston Police report a city, state and federal effort to arrest a Dorchester man wanted on a variety of charges out of South Boston and Somerville.

Police say Rubenson Cherilus, 27, at first refused to surrender when police, troopers and marshals showed up at his 15 Brinsley St. residence around 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday and was cuffed only after he threw a gun out a window and then engaged in "a violent struggle." Cherilus had been on the state probation department's top-ten wanted list.

Cherilus was wanted for indecent exposure and drug dealing in South Boston and drug dealing and armed robbery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and illegal possession of a gun in Somerville, along with various charges related to poor driving habits.

He was arraigned today in Dorchester District Court on new gun and career-criminal charges related to the Walther .380 semiautomatic handgun he allegedly threw out the window yesterday, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports. Judge James Coffey set $100,000 bail, but revoked his bail on earlier charges, the DA's office says.

Somebody walking through Ronan Park was robbed around 10 p.m. Police are looking for a man in his late teens or early 20s, possibly Cape Verdean, about 5'5" with a thin build, dressed in a black hoodie, black ski mask and black pants, carrying a black gun, who ran from the Percival Street side of the park towards Adams Street.

Boston Police report Shawn Wright didn't get far after allegedly robbing the Wine Emporium, 607 Tremont St., around 8:10 p.m. on Tuesday: He was arrested not long after at Clarendon and Appleton streets.

Police say Wright, 26, went up to the counter, showed a clerk a gun and ordered him to "give me the money."

Boston Police report finding a man in his 20s shot this afternoon at 397 Old Colony Ave.

The victim was taken to Boston Medical Center in serious condition, police say.

Police say they are looking for a black Maxima with Mass. plates of 47X-L76.
