Around 6:10 p.m. Responding officers didn't find any victims at the scene, but not long after, somebody showed up at a local emergency room with a fresh gunshot wound to the leg.

The Quincy Sun reports on an incident this afternoon in Quincy Center that ended with two under arrest.
The T briefly stopped Red Line service through Quincy Center so officers could search for one of the suspects.

The Massachusetts Appeals Court today upheld a man's conviction for illegal gun possession in a 2013 Newton road-rage incident because a gun is a gun no matter when it's made and, in any case, he failed to prove his gun was actually an antique exempt from normal state gun-licensing requirements. Cambridge Day reports on the mystery of the man who showed up at a Cambridge hospital with a new entry wound, possibly driven there in a stolen car, maybe by another guy who ran away when the local constabulary arrived, not long after a fight was reported on the Cambridge/Somerville line.

Boston Police report arresting a security guard after he allegedly pistol whipped a man, pointed a gun at him and then, when the man was down on the ground, began kicking him.
Police add that luckily for all concerned, the security guard, Andrew Pierre, 34, could not have actually shot the man because he'd loaded all the magazines in both the guns he was packing backwards. Read more.

Two years before Eric Vick, a JetBlue worker at Logan Airport, was snared in what turned out to be a cash-smuggling sting operation, he was busy smuggling guns from Georgia into Boston, where at least one was used in a Dorchester gang shooting, federal prosecutors charge. Read more.

Multiple shots were fired around 10:25 p.m. at Dudley and Albion streets, where Justin Depina was murdered yesterday.

UPDATE: Friends identify the victim as Justin Depina.
Around 5:10 p.m. on Dudley Street at Albion. The victim, 19, was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Boston Police report.
