Old abandoned news box

A concerned citizen files a 311 complaint about old news boxes on Dartmouth Street outside Back Bay station.

This gets filled up with trash and looks like trash. I think there are at least two of them outside Back Bay station. Would be great to throw out and would be very simple.

An apocolyptic looking Boston

BLVCK.machina looked out the window of his office next to the State House around 4 p.m. and spotted an apocalyptic hellscape - and only partially because of the window tinting.

Peeled back truck on Storrow Drive

Leslee got a great view from the Fairfield Street pedestrian bridge of a truck whose driver got a fresh haircut at the Mass. Ave. Bridge - and then decided that was good enough and so didn't go for a double storrowing at Fairfield.

Flag on the Massachusetts Avenue Bridge

Ladybugs_Leaf spotted these flags placed along the Massachusetts Avenue Bridge today and wondered what they're for.

Adam Balsam posits they're memorials for the bike-lane-marking traffic cones that somebody tossed off the bridge in January.

Rental truck stuck but not stuck

Can a truck truly be storrowed if its roof isn't peeled back even if it's clearly under a Storrow Drive bridge? A roving UHub photographer came upon this river-road manifestation of Schroedinger's Cat today at the Mass. Ave. exit, where a truck whose driver has obviously managed to get partway under the bridge around 4:20 p.m. shows no obvious signs of roof damage. Read more.

Encountered this scene on Storrow Drive this afternoon. Sorry I couldn’t get the curved bridge ahead in the photo you can see bridge behind the trees. This truck stopped in time. Staties responded to shut off traffic so he could back up.

Not as entertaining as seeing an actual storrowing but we enjoyed a wide open quick drive since the police shut off Storrow seconds after we had entered.

Sorry if photo is sideways-not sure how to fix
