Boston and Transit Police are looking for a group of teens who rushed out of the Apple Store with a dozen iPhones this afternoon. The group consisted of both males and females, mostly in hoodies, one black, one red, one green.

Reports are pouring in of long lines at the conjoined Prudential and Copley Place Malls - the former for the opening of its new Italian food court, the latter for an Alton Brown book signing at Williams-Sonoma. No word if the two malls' security forces are trying to keep the lines apart to avoid an implosion or worse.

Transit Police report arresting Derrek Toussaint, 29, on a charge of open and gross lewdness around 5 p.m. on Wednesday, after another man came out of the men's room at the Back Bay T stop to report Toussaint was masturbating there.

A man perched on the ledge of 32 Hereford St., who was threatening to jump this morning, was talked down by BPD negotiators around 12:15 p.m. and is now on the way to the hospital for observation.

White ghost profiles in Boston Common

Greg Cook attended Sunday's World Day of Remembrancemarch from Copley Square through Boston Common and vigil in front of the State House.

Many of the walkers carried white outlines with the names of people who died in crashes. Activists have begun putting these markers at the crash locations. Not everybody is a fan of the idea.

Transit Police report an officer arrested a Boston man and his Braintree squeeze around 9 p.m. yesterday at Back Bay station after spotting them vigorously enjoying each other in a stall just beyond that Amtrak poster that has been promising improvements for the last 30 years. Read more.

Giant turkey in Copley Square

It was the weirdest scene. Literally rehearsing a scene with a kid and a skateboard and sad turkey...

State Police report a marked State Police cruiser at Commonwealth Avenue and Berkeley Street around 2:50 a.m.

The crash also caused two other vehicles to be struck, one of them parked, before the taxi fled the scene. The crash also caused damage to a light pole and fence.

There were no injuries, State Police say.

The MBTA is reporting the dreaded "severe" delays inbound between Hynes and Park Street on the Green Line due to a signal snafu at Copley. Outbound delays are merely "moderate."

David reports it took him 70 minutes to get from Washington Square in Brookline to Government Center.
