The MBTA is reporting "moderate" delays on the Orange Line due to signal problems at Forest Hills.

The MBTA reports a dead train somewhere near Tufts Medical Center means "severe" delays towards Oak Grove (which, of course, will eventually mean problems towards Forest Hills, especially since Forest Hills is down to just one track). That means every single T line had a dead train this morning. Is there a prize for that?

The MBTA reports "moderate" delays on the Orange Line towards Forest Hills due to a train giving up the ghost at Downtown Crossing, which has apparently become the go-to place for Orange Line trains that have lost the will to live.

The T says it's gotten the track-repair equipment that gummed up the Red Line at Andrew off the tracks, but that the Orange Line is still having problems due to an Orange Line train that bought the farm earlier at Downtown Crossing.

Trees on the Orange Line

Sanchez

Transit Police report arresting Robert Sanchez, 49, for allegedly exposing himself and masturbating in full view of at least one woman near the fare gates at Back Bay station around 3:30 p.m. yesterday.

Sanchez was charged with open and gross lewdness, police say.

Transit Police report arresting a New Bedford man they say put another man in a headlock and then chomped him in a briefly successful attempt to steal money the victim had just taken out of an ATM. Read more.

People waiting for a shuttle bus on the Orange Line

Tim Hanafin shows us the sitch at Community College around 6:50 p.m., after a train dumped him and everybody off there, leaving them stranded, waiting for a shuttle bus or a sign from God or something.

Guy with manbun escorted off Orange Line tracks

John Kendricken reports his Orange Line train came to a halt between Ruggles and Mass. Ave. late this morning due to a guy who decided to hang out on the tracks. For his safety and that of the Transit cops sent to get him out of there, the T cut power on the line, Kendricken reported around 11:30:

The Herald reports on an inciddent the other day at Chinatown on the Orange Line involving a couple of the non-union "ambassadors" a contractor had supplied to replace MBTA customer service agents at T stations.

UPDATE, 6:25 p.m. The T stop has been re-opened and normal service is resuming.

The Orange Line came to a halt in both directions after State Police responded to Bunker Hill Community College for a bomb threat late this afternoon. The T is now running shuttle buses between North Station and Sullivan Square.
