MBTA Transit Police report arresting a guy they say threatened a man at the South Station bus terminal with a knife around 4:45 p.m. on Sunday.

According to a Transit Police report, the man was waiting for his girlfriend:

When she arrived, he noticed a Hispanic male "checking her out" and making sexually suggestive comments to her like, "hey mommy are you free". According to the victim, the suspect walked up to him and asked if she was his girl or was she working. he took offense to the comment and told the suspect that she was his wife to be and he should leave them alone.

Somewhere in South Station, there's a ten-foot-high tub of buttered popcorn

Walked into South Station around 1 p.m. and it was like walking into a wall of buttered-popcorn smell. Beats the alternative, I guess, but still kind of odd, especially since the station's sponsor this month is some scotch rather than some popcorn brand.

Man DOA at South Station on bus from New Hampshire

Foul play is not suspected in the death of a Scottsdale, AZ man whose body was found in the lavatory of a Boston Express bus from Londonderry, NH that pulled into South Station around 9 last night, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.

The DA's office says the man, 29, apparently entered the lavatory early in the trip. Workers at South Station had to force the door open.

An autopsy is planned.

The Herald isn't one to take rejection by city health officials lightly. Today, it accuses hippies of stinking up South Station, because, as is well known, there were never unkempt people washing themselves in South Station restrooms or asking for money until before Occupy Boston started.

Pair charged with selling drugs out of Occupy Boston tent

A Boston Municipal Court judge released two people on personal recognizance today after prosecutors detailed how one of them was using an Occupy Boston tent to arrange drug deals at nearby South Station.

The Suffolk County District Attorney's office had asked for $25,000 bail for Isaac Bell of Roxbury because of a prior drug conviction, and $1,000 for Charlene Dumont of no particular address. Although Judge Michael Coyne freed the two pending their trials, he did warn them to stay away from the Occupy Boston encampment at Dewey Square - where Bell had lived for three weeks.

A Dunkin' Donuts franchisee goes before the Zoning Board of Appeals on Wednesday, Oct. 19, for permission to open an outlet in the station's food court. Currently, commuters have to walk all the way across Atlantic Avenue or struggle to make their way to Federal Street to get their fix.

Police: Man videoed men using urinals in a South Station restroom

A Fall River man was arrested Saturday on charges he took video of at least one man urinating in the men's room at the South Station bus terminal.

Kevin Wilkinson, 44, was caught red-handed with an iPod Nano with the streaming video of a man at a urinal, according to an MBTA Transit Police report. The arresting officer reported there were additional videos on the device, but that he stopped looking because the first video was enough.

The police report says officers approached Wilkinson around 1:20 p.m. after another man reported some guy seemed to be just standing there, videoing urinal users. The report says Wilkinson agreed to let the officers take a look at his cellphone and his Nano. The cellphone had a few photos of "what appeared to be consenting adult males in the nude," but the iPhone had video of what the officers recognized as the bus-terminal men's room and a man using it.

Wilkinson was charged with photographing, videotaping or electronically surveilling a partially nude or nude person.

Police: Woman beaten up in South Station restroom; two arrested

Brown (l) and Wilton. A woman cleaning up in a South Station restroom early this morning found herself under attack by two other women apparently upset she'd put her belongings on a counter, MBTA Transit Police report.

Melissa Brown, 31, of Worcester, and Jasmine Wilton, 20, of Lynn, were both charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon following the incident around 5:40 a.m., police say.

According to police, the victim, a 44-year-old woman from Somerville, was in the restroom when the two other women entered. She asked them to be careful of her belongings, in particular a black back in which she told them she had her pet cat. According to police:

The suspects became irate and stated to the victim, "get your pussy off of the counter." The suspects then began to push all of her belongings off of the vanity and physically assault her by punching her several times, pushing her to the ground and kicking her repeatedly.

She began to scream, which brought a security guard, who summoned police - who found the two attempting to leave the station by way of the track area "in a quick manner."

Commuters on a Needham-Line train report they've now been sitting outside South Station for more than 30 minutes thanks to a dead engine.
