Louis Carlos Martinez-Santamaria

Transit Police charge that as an inbound Red Line train hurtled from Broadway to South Station around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, an Everett man whipped his supposed manhood out and began rubbing it while staring at a woman sitting across from him.

Police say that the woman departed the train at South Station and alerted police, who found Luis Carlos Martinez-Santamaria, 40, of Everett there as well and arrested him on a charge of open and gross lewdness.

Innocent, etc.

Pedialyte samples in front of South Station

Are we facing a shortage of toddlers with dehydration these days? For some reason, Pedialyte had some shills in Dewey Square yesterday trying to foist samples on passing adults. Maybe it goes great chilled with some vodka.

UPDATE: Ye hair-of-the-dog editor has been informed by reliable sources that Pedialyte is pushing itself as a hangover cure. Blecch. Read more.

This morning's switch problems at 128 have morphed into signal problems at Canton Junction and so Keolis is warning of Trump-level (you know, yuuge) delays on the Providence and Stoughton lines.

By adamg - 1/25/17 - 9:00 am

The day after Keolis issued a statement about improved reliability on commuter rail, signal problems at South Station caused some major delays.

What's the easiest and quickest way to get from North Station to South Station?

Currently I take the orange to the red line but that is usually a 20 min affair in the morning and worse at 5pm.

I'm thinking of getting an electric scooter or boosted board.

For at least the third time today, a Red Line train (probably not the same one, but who knows?) has flat lined, this time near South Station. Or as Yung Carl Jung puts it:

I'm on #RedLine Braintree bound train #01868 rn & it's stuck in a tunnel. what the eff is going on?

UPDATE, 10:20 p.m. Red Line service was supposedly back to normal.

A touch of a trash fire on the Red Line tracks tonight. Quickly brought under control, but you know how that causes cascading delays up and down the line. Boston firefighters returned control of the tracks to the T around 8:50 p.m., but that brought no relief to riders because the train that may have caused the problem was stuck at Downtown Crossing. Instead, the T began corralling buses to shuttle riders between Park Street and JFK in both directions. Read more.
