The Globe reports their parents were only allowed to see them when the younger one was rushed to Mass. General with stomach pain. They were then transported back to Logan and kicked out of the country.

A380 at Logan Airport

UPDATE: JetBlue tells WCVB the baggage handler did nothing wrong; the belt is made of "soft rubber material with shock absorbers."

The government's quietly announced ban on electronic carry-ons from certain foreign airports on certain airlines could have a harsh impact on three airlines that have ramped up their operations at Logan Airport in recent years, because the ban could cause business travelers, who pay more for the ability to work in flight, to seek other ways to the US. State Police report elevated carbon-monoxide levels, believed to be from this Logan Airport snow melter, forced the shutdown of Terminal C tonight. After the terminal was aired out, it was re-opened.

UPDATE: A federal judge in Seattle issued a temporary ban on the executive order.

A federal judge this afternoon said the president has the right to bar people from other countries from entering the US and declined to extend a temporary restraining order against his ban on travel from seven predominantly Muslim countries. Read more.

Although a number of federal judges, including in Boston, have ordered the government to let people with previously issued visas or green cards come to the US, several airlines are still refusing to let them board flights. Open Boston is their effort to put pressure on the airlines to let the people fly here.

UPDATE: Lufthansa will provide passage:

Due to a decision (Temporary Restraint Order) by the District Court in Massachusetts, the above mentioned Order is suspended on flights to BOS for the time being until February 5th, 2017. All passengers with valid travel documents are eligible to board on LH-flights to BOS.

Emirates Airbus A380 arrives at Logan Airport

Dan Santry watched a two-level Emirates A380 land at Logan around 2 p.m. Logan has seen a few landings of the planes - which require special two-level jetways - for tests or in emergencies before, but this is the first one to be scheduled to carry passengers here.

The Boston Business Journal reports Lyft and Massport have reached an agreement under which Lyft drivers who pass a state background check can be summoned to Logan. Uber is working on a similar agreement.
