The Swellesley Report reports that around 12:50 a.m. one recent morning an officer was dispatched to a local synagogue on a report of somebody banging on the door - by somebody inside who was not about to open the door at 12:50 a.m. Police say it was a local teen who told the officer he saw lights on and was curious about what was going on inside. The officer told him he could better satisfy his curiosity by calling the temple during normal business hours and asking.
Your Arlington reports a May 11 fire, for which police have released video of a possible suspect, is the home of a rabbi who heads the local orthodox Chabad center, which he runs out of his home. The head of the town's Human Rights Commission says there is no current evidence that the fire "was motivated by the identity of the homeowners." Read more.
