Rebel shakespeare company
Rebel Shakespeare in Wellesley tonight...
By amusings - 8/27/09 - 8:34 amHey Uhubbies, If you're not going out with Suldog and Eeka (and my heart is breakin' cause I cannot!) Please consider coming out and seeing one of our final shows in our run for "Twelfth Night." We'll be at Warren Park in Wellesley, and will most likely be staging the show ON the playground equipment there, because Illyria needs a slide or two.
Look for a gaggle of strangely dressed high school students. Show is at 5pm. The park is at 90 Washington Street (rte 16), and the show is FREE.
"Twelfth Night" on tour
By amusings - 8/14/09 - 11:18 amRebel Shakespeare Company returns its second tour of the summer with the comedy "Twelfth Night." Our high-school aged cast from all over Massachusetts will roam up and down the North Shore, with a Boston Stop at the Christian Herter Park Publick Theatre on August 22nd at 4pm. Now, here's the deal -- Rebel is opening again for the awesome Orfeo Group doing that "WOWSA" thing they do (Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged)). It is their LAST PERFORMANCE, of their summer run... so you can come see us at 4, and then stay for them at 6:45.
Thank you, Arlington!
By amusings - 7/20/09 - 2:00 pmWell, I wanted to give a great big thank you to Robbins Farm Park (and the Friends Of organization), the Arlington Center for the Arts, and the residents of the city of Arlington and surrounding towns for coming out en masse yesterday to see Rebel Shakespeare do "Hamlet." We estimated about 500 people were there. Our kids were thrilled with the crowd, the venue, the enthusiasm for outdoor theatre, and had the time of their lives. Thank you bunkosquad and friends for coming out -- wish I'd had more time to chat with you.
Rebel Shakespeare Company touring Hamlet in Boston
By amusings - 7/6/09 - 7:57 pmSo over the winter I asked Universal Hub users for ideas on where to stage our next tour for Rebel Shakespeare Company. I got some good suggestions, and I opted to go for the Boston Harbor Islands. I connected with a wonderful person there named Kirsten Sherman, who helped me secure a date, and set us up. In the meantime, we got 2 other offers to perform in Boston, without me having to go hunt down venues.
I'd like to personally thank the Uhub community for their helpful suggestions. You guys rule.
