At Home is the newish replacement for the old Dedham Sears and it's just the place to go if you need vague art and fake plants (including tiny little fake cacti) to furnish your home. We checked it out today and were particularly struck by the piece of wood shown above - emblazoned with American pride on the front and a little "Made in China" sticker on the back.

The Supreme Judicial Court ruled today that a bicyclist can sue the downtown-Boston steam company for injuries he suffered when an allegedly misaligned utility cover on New Sudbury Street threw him to the ground, because the state law that governs complaints about road repair only refers to the government bodies that own the roads, not private companies that may have done something to cause a problem on those roads. A single Stop & Shop picketer at 11:50 p.m. in South Boston

Roving UHub photographer George Carroll Jr. reports that at 11:50 p.m. on Thursday, in the cold and rain, he spotted Geoff Applegate maintaining a solo picket outside the Stop & Shop on East Broadway in South Boston. The store wasn't open to the public but, Applegate told Carroll, he was there in case the company tried making a delivery.
