Boston Assistance Agencies receive $737,278 from Project Bread to Relieve Hunger in Tough Times

Percussion Sensation STOMP Partners with Project Bread to STOMP Out Hunger!

A large gift of funds has been awarded to Boston-area hunger relief agencies to support their work throughout the long winter ahead. Project Bread, the state’s leading antihunger organization, distributed $616,825 to 91 emergency food services as part of its annual Appreciation and Grant Award Ceremony at the Colonnade Hotel Boston last night.

On opening night Project Bread will receive a $10 donation for each ticket sold! STOMP, the award-winning, international percussion sensation, has performed in 350 cities and 36 countries. The eight-member troupe uses everything but conventional percussion instruments — such as matchboxes, wooden poles, brooms, garbage cans, Zippo lighters and hubcaps to fill the stage with sensational rhythms.
