Our Lady's Friends is the Web site of a group of parishioners at Our Lady's Parish in Newton working for the reinstatement of Walter Cuenin as their priest.

Via Domenico, who says he finds the whole thing laughable because:

They claim "financial accountability" as one of their goals even as they defend a priest who has admitted to receiving funds from his parish that he was not entitled to. Obviously they mean financial accountability for others. ...

He's the Newton priest and outspoken critic of Bernie Law who suddenly resigned.

Domenico compares Cuenin to Dennis Kozlowski, former Tyco CEO and soon to be inmate because of the way Cuenin had been receiving a living expense stipend and car lease and insurance payments from the parish over and above what the rules and regulations of the archdiocese lay out:

... What's ironic is that liberals have been pointing to Kozlowski's antics at Tyco as another example of conservative corporate greed at the expense of the little guy. But here we have this liberal icon doing the same thing. I wonder if all the liberal deep-pockets in Newton will pony up to help Cuenin pay off his tens of thousands of debt when he's apparently done the very same thing that liberals have condemned in others. ...
