The MBTA says it's postponed a shutdown of the Riverside Line this weekend and will instead run trolleys as usual. Instead:

Buses will replace Green Line D branch trolleys between Reservoir and Riverside Stations in both directions next weekend, Saturday, August 26, and Sunday, August 27, as scheduled.

Wanted woman in Newton, MA

Newton Police have issued an APB for a woman they say has bought $38,000 worth of stuff this month alone with copies of other people's credit cards at the Chestnut Hill Blomingdale's.

The Massachusetts Appeals Court today upheld a man's conviction for illegal gun possession in a 2013 Newton road-rage incident because a gun is a gun no matter when it's made and, in any case, he failed to prove his gun was actually an antique exempt from normal state gun-licensing requirements.
