Local Web site (no, not the Globe style section) is seeking a blogger:

Special community for people who have earned a lot of money or been born into a wealthy family needs a blog ghostwriter. The focus of the community is providing psychological support for the problems money brings - family tensions, unfulfillable expectations, boredom, etc. To do this you must be intimately familiar with the problems faced by wealthy people. If you grew up wealthy or through some other means can write detailed blog posts on this topic, please get in touch.

Note: You won't get rich with this job - it pays $30 a post.

It’s happening.

Posts from bright-eyed, hopeful renters are rolling in with really outlandish hopes and questions like “Where can I find a $400/month 1-bed in Kendall Square?”....yikes.

I was compelled to write this post to pre-answer some of the questions I’m anticipating and manage people’s expectations a bit BEFORE they look for apartments.

Team Brookline has 42 runners, 4 charitable causes…
and advice from its own mental health expert.

Everyone who ran in, attended, watched, supported the Marathon last year keenly felt the effects of the day and what followed. For many of us, those feelings will come flooding back this year on April 21. But runners training for this year’s Boston Marathon are deep into that experience already.

That’s why Team Brookline is drawing on the expertise of a special coach this year: a mental health expert who will talk with the Team as part of its training regimen.

Judging is a one-of-a-kind opportunity that represents the Boston Debate League's greatest volunteer need. No experience is necessary. We will train you in a short session right before the tournament you attend and you will be asked to listen to debaters, take notes, offer encouragement, and determine a winner. If you are fluent in Spanish, you also have the opportunity to judge for the new Spanish division.

Boston Harbor, Saturday night and an exceptional night for being on the water. Unfortunately the pleasure that comes with an evening boat ride, resulted in a life what ended too soon.

A young man on a party boat was still being searched for after falling 40 feet overboard at around 12 midnight. "The Caucasian male was dressed in leather boots, jeans and a gray t-shirt..." the Boston Coast Guard Division announces over the communication channel of the radio.

As a sailor myself, after hearing the details, I felt a deep disturbance by this event. Our boat slowed near the area of the accident to contribute to the search-- only to find nothing. We continued on our way; I however did not. My mind was fixed on this individual who likely lost his life for multiple reasons.

He should never have jumped 40 feet into pitch darkness. But he didn't, apparently he was sitting on the railing. So he should not have been sitting on the railing while under the influence of alcohol. There was no report of his drinking, but he was on a party boat.

I could not stop thinking of the people close to him (friends on the boat ride). The plague of this event would not release me. Why? Why?

Ron Newman reports Jonathan Monsarrat's lawyer has filed a motion to dismiss Monsarrat's lawsuit against him, former Somerville Journal editor Deb Filcman and 100 unnamed people with prejudice, which basically means Monsarrat can't file it again.

Pursuant to the provisions of Mass. R. Civ. P. 41(a)(1)(i), the Plaintiff, Jonathan Graves Monsarrat, in the above-captioned matter, hereby files and gives notice of dismissal, with prejudice and without costs to either party, as to Deb Filcman, Ron Newman, the Doe Defendant identified as Doe Defendant "srakkt" in paragraph 51 of the Amended Complaint, whose real name is Richard James Scheffler of Somerville, Massachusetts, and John and Jane Does 1-99, as defendants in the Amended Complaint.

Monsarrat had sued Newman, Filcman and 100 "John and Jane Does" over online comments about the way he was arrested in 2010 after a wild party involving underage teens; the charges against him were eventually dismissed.
