Live Boston reports one person was stabbed at Venu, 100 Warrenton St. in the Theater District, late Sunday night and that several brawls erupted after police arrived.

The stabbing was a week after one person was shot, another stabbed outside Moxy, also in the Theater District.

Live Boston reports people began fleeing Theater District clubs in a hurry early Sunday after a report of possible gunfire inside Venu on Warrenton Street.

No shell casings or other evidence of gunfire were found after the 1:30 a.m. incident. Still, Venu and nearby clubs were evacuated to allow for police sweeps, and after people "ran for cover after reports of shots fired inside of one of the clubs."

Boston Police report they are looking for Jassy Correia, 23, last seen getting into a red Altima at Tremont and Herald streets not long after leaving Venu around 12:15 a.m. on Sunday. Read more.

A man who ripped his shirt off as he was being escorted out of a Theater District club and vowed to take care of the guys he'd been arguing with waited around outside - only to find himself beaten to the ground and stomped when they were joined by more men, in an attack that ended only after police sprayed the scrum with pepper spray twice. The Boston Licensing Board today approved a deal with the owner of Icon and Venu on Warrenton Street to shut Icon for nearly a month and Venu for two weeks, partly as punishment for a string of incidents with pre-21 drinkers over the past year, partly to retrain and recertify their staff in how to recognize and bar underage would-be drinkers and how to better disperse crowds at closing time. At Bond in the Langham on Franklin Street, a local graduate's celebration ended with him covered in blood after duking it out with the DJ he'd hired. Meanwhile, parents and grandparents overstuffed Venu in the Theater District for parties for their proud BU and Babson graduates. Read more.

The alcohol-infused straw that broke the camel's back was a 19-year-old Babson student with fake Nigerian and Indian driver's licenses and a photocopy of a Photoshopped British passport whom BPD detectives found with a shot of tequila in her hand inside Venu around 1:30 a.m. on March 4. Read more.

The Boston Licensing Board decided today to let Venu on Warrenton Street continue to stay open until 2 a.m., rather than penalize it for a Nov. 18 incident in which police say a clubgoer left at closing, spotted three rival gang members, got a gun and started shooting, hitting two of them and two bystanders.

UPDATE: Board agrees with club; issues no penalty.

The Boston Licensing Board decides Thursday whether to order a rollback in hours for Venu, a Warrenton Street club that already had a long list of complaints against it when a man police say was a patron got a gun and started blasting away at two gang rivals down the street.

Boston Police report arresting Samuel Higginbottom, 23, for four shootings outside Venu on Warrenton Street early on Nov. 18.

Police say officers arrested Higginbottom without incident in Union Square in Allston today and charged him with four counts of assault with intent to murder. His four allged victims, aged 23-33, were not fatally struck, police say.

Boston Police report four men were shot outside Venu on Warrenton Street just as the club was getting out for the night. The victims, in their 20s and 30s, were taken to local hospitals and are expected to survive.

A suburbanite who thought another patron at Venu on Warrenton Street had stolen his girlfriend's purse went to his car, got his gun, went back inside the club and then, after punching the guy in the face twice, put the gun to the man's head and threatened to kill him, police and the club's head of security told the Boston Licensing Board this morning.

The city licensing office has ordered an 11-day suspension of the entertainment license for Venu, following a November melee at the Warrenton Street club that took cops from across the city - and repeated shots of pepper spray - to break up.

Boston Police report arresting two Bostonians and three Randolph residents in a donnybrook that just would not stop around 2 a.m. on Sunday at Club Venu, 100 Warrenton St..
