Lance Holloman, 30, was charged with two murders Sunday that left an East Taunton man dying on the side of I-93 and a New Hampshire woman fatally shot in Holloman's Dorchester home, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office and State Police report.
Scott Stevens, Jr., 32, of East Taunton, died this afternoon at Boston Medical Center, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.
Stevens and his father, Scott Stevens, Sr., 54, of Raynham, were shot Sunday afternoon as they rode their motorcycles south on I-93 near Neponset Circle. His father suffered less severe injuries, police say.
Gretchen Van Ness is one of the motorists who got stuck in what turned into at least 90 minutes of gridlock on I-93 southbound this afternoon after police shut the road following a double shooting near Neponset Circle. I was traveling up 93 around 3pm this afternoon and ended up stuck in traffic that was cause by people slowing to look at a group of kite-flyers at the Pope John Paul II Park alongside 93 and the Neponset river.
State Police reported around 1:45 p.m. they shut the highway to let Boston firefighters quench the fire, which was on the southbound side where the O'Neill opens back up into open sky.
Two MassDOT workers at the Zipper Lane building on the Expressway have been placed on leave while State Police investigate whether that was a real pot plant they had in a window there, WCVB reports.
It's known to traffic reporters as "The Great Circle of Traffic", and it happens when the loop comprising I-93 from Woburn to Canton and I-95 (128) between Canton and Woburn displays solid red on the traffic maps for its full length.

WCVB reports the crash happened on I-93 northbound near Mass. Ave. around 5:10 a.m. State Police reported the two lanes that were shut after the crash re-opened around 5:45 a.m.
MassDOT reports that due to damage to utility wires caused by the flipped over cheese truck, Exit 10 at Squantum Street will be shut for the evening rush hour. Officials are hoping to get it open in time for the morning rush. Also:
Effective at midnight tonight, there will be intermittent closures of I-93 north and southbound in Milton.
