Downtown Sovereign Bank branch held up; robber headed to Park Street T stop

Boston Police report the Sovereign branch at 1 Beacon St. was held up around 8:40 a.m.
The suspect is described as white, 5'11" and in his mid-20s. He was wearing a white hat and carrying a green nylon bag and was last spotted headed toward the Park Street T stop.
If you know him, the FBI's Bank Robbery Task Force would appreciate the favor of a call at 617-223-6407.
Downtown bank robbed by same guy who robbed it last month
By adamg - 1/3/12 - 4:40 pmBoston Police are looking for a short white guy with red hair, initially described as looking like "a leprechaun," who held up the Sovereign Bank branch at 125 Summer St. around 4:15 p.m. He was last seen running toward the front entrance of South Station in a white T-shirt and black cap - where he may have boarded a commuter-rail train to either Stoughton or Framingham. At least one train was stopped at Back Bay while officers searched for him, without success.
The guy was apparently the same one who held up the branch on Dec. 16.
Sovereign Bank branch in Downtown Crossing held up

The branch was last held up in July.
Uphams Corner bank held up
By adamg - 9/9/11 - 12:40 pmBoston Police are looking for a suspect in a bank robbery around 1:15 p.m. at the Sovereign Bank branch at 585 Columbia Rd.
The suspect is described as a black man, 5'5" to 5'7", weighing 200 to 220 lbs., with a beard and sunglasses. He left the bank in gray sweatpants, but took those off and was last spotted running in bluejeans.
The branch was also held up last October.
Packers fan holds up South Boston bank
By adamg - 9/7/11 - 4:13 pmBoston Police tweet the Sovereign Bank branch at 474 W. Broadway was held up this afternoon by a 20-year-old white man, slim, 5'4" and wearing a Green Bay hat.
The bank was also held up in June. The Eastern Bank branch at 470 W. Broadway has been held up so often tellers are beginning to get a bit tired of it all.
Bank robber has a thing for Sovereign Bank branches
By adamg - 8/19/11 - 8:50 amThe FBI's Bank Robbery Task Force is looking for a guy they say robbed at least two Sovereign Bank branches this week. Mr. Goatee first hit the Sovereign branch at 1442 Dorchester Ave. in Fields Corner on Tuesday.
He took a break on Wednesday - when police were busy with another bank robber - then popped up again yesterday to rob the Sovereign branch at 552 Commonwealth Ave. in Kenmore Square. After demanding and getting money, he fled on foot, the task force reports.

Downtown bank branch held up at lunchtime
By adamg - 7/25/11 - 1:39 pmBoston Police tweet the Sovereign Bank branch at 125 Summer St. was held up by a white guy, 5'7" - 5'8", 160 to 170 lbs., in a blue shirt and white hat, who fled on foot.
The branch was also robbed in April, 2010.

Woman's screams scare off gun-wielding bank robber in the South End

I was just in my Sovereign Bank bank branch on Tremont Street and a black male came in, asked for all their money, flashed his gun, and then freaked out when a woman freaked out and fled.
Boston Police and the FBI bank robbery task force are on the scene.
