Seems RCN pulled the plug this morning on its Boston customers still using analog service. Like 4 a.m. to be exact, Nicole Atchison reports:

... I called RCN this afternoon, and spoke to a nice young man in the Chicago call center. He told me that they have been getting complaint calls from all over Boston since 7am. ...

Be is quite happy with RCN. She is not at all happy with Comcast, because in the process of hooking her landlord up, Comcast cut her RCN phone and Internet connections:

... THEY SUCK. IF THEY WERE THE LAST TELECOM IN THE US, I'D JURY RIG A SETUP WITH SOUPCANS AND SOME STRING BEFORE I PARTOOK OF THEIR "SERVICE" ...

Daigo reports what happened when he called RCN to ask why his Internet service was so slow:

After having a very unpressed, very unproductive conversation with a customer support who assumes she is talking to person with no computer knowledge, I have decided that I am switching my cable company. I pay what? for this? I just realized I am paying $125 bucks a month for those a-holes for all cable, TV, and phone. I will not stand for it. Bye bye RCN you have just lost a royal customer of past 5 years.

Jason reports on Q Daily News that RCN is running unintentionally hysterical local-access commercials that try to show subscribers how to get more out of their cable broadband service:
