The MetroWest Daily News reports the Happy Swallow on Rte. 135 is getting turned into a family restaurant. Presumably that means the chairs will no longer be bolted to the floor to keep patrons from using them during bar brawls.

Officials from the MBTA and the MetroWest Regional Transit Authority will gather tomorrow to announce you'll be able to use CharlieCards on MWRTA buses.

The formal announcement is at 11:30 a.m. at the Woodland stop on the Green Line.

Oh, and don't worry, prudes: The guy assures the News his joint will be "classy," not like those other strip clubs. Sure, with naked women, but customers will have to comply with a dress code.

A plumber from Groton wants to expand his offerings by turning the old Tin Alley Grill (and even older. Ground Round) on Rte. 9 at California Avenue into a "gentlemen's club," the MetroWest Daily News reports.

The Massachusetts State Police Trooper Stephen Kavol, who repeatedly punched "Pope" Alexander Serra, was the same officer who first encountered Serra in the South End of Boston. Trooper Kavol was one of the two officers who first cornered Serra on foot on I90. From WBZ:

Video from WBZ's helicopter showed Serra running away from his car on the highway shirtless. Moments later, he dropped to the ground. One trooper pulled his gun, while a second punched him repeatedly. link

The MetroWest Daily News reports that when a shopper noticed a dude grabbing a woman's wallet out of her cart in the produce department, he gave chase. Three other guys joined in, tackling dude and holding him until police arrived.

Wicked Local Framingham reports a truck driver who slammed into a car may have been eating cereal behind the wheel: The investigating officer found milk and cereal all over his dashboard - and a bowl in woods nearby.

In May, Needham police arrested a man for driving while under the influence of cereal.

Unfortunately for the Miami woman, the man she was bragging to about how much money she was making in Framingham from kanoodling was a plainclothes (but not yet under cover) Framingham cop, the MetroWest Daily News reports. The paper reports she claimed about $7,000 a week, which, at $150 a pop, is about 46 men a week.

Nothing like a water-main break in Framingham to ruin a perfectly good commute. WBZ's Traffic on the 3s says cars were stacked up past Southborough eastbound this morning thanks to the water-main problems at Prospect Street in Framingham.
