David Kravitz of Blue Mass. Group is co-chair of Deval Patrick's civic-engagagement:

... Our group been asked to consider three general "principles" in going about our task:

Converting the grassroots campaign into a way of governing;

Increasing civic engagement; and

Rebuilding communities throughout the state. ...

The Deval Patrick Transition (hmm, sounds like a 1980s rock group, no?).

Mike Mennonno notes that now that the national press has discovered Our Deval, suddenly his race is mentioned all the time:

Oh, sure, there are those Gloomy Gusses who are barricading their doors against the imminent onslaught of rapists and who fret their taxes will go up so high they won't be able to afford that Porsche they have their eye on. But for most Boston bloggers with an opinion on the elections, it's still party time.

In an exclusive interview, Mihos could only say: Woof!

Transcript of Patrick's victory speech.

Matt: Deval. Thanks for being my new Governor.

Sharon Gartenberg: Deval Patrick's Resounding Victory: A Vote for Community:

Voters in Massachusetts have given our overwhelming support to a governor-elect who stresses sense of community and the need to care about each other's dreams and aspirations as well as our own. It's a message we've clearly been hungering for after the bitter, negative, partisan politics that Karl Rove and the Bush administration have brought to the national arena these past six years. ...

Now the hard work begins, Adam Reilly writes:

Joe Dwinell covered the debate as it happens.

Whiteboy also covered it:

Cokie Roberts: Hello, and welcome. I'm Cokie Roberts. You might remember me as Sam Donaldson's dominatrix on This Week before that short, cute, Greek little man replaced us. Before we begin, I'd like to ask a question of the Democrat because that's all us media folks can talk about today. Should Kerry have apologized for his comments? ...

Kimberly Atkins posts the letter from the members of the Governor's Commission on Sexual and Domestic Violence, who want her to resign from the commission because of her rape ads.

Much ado about nothing, Hub Politics says.

The Missus explains why those rape ads convinced her to vote for Patrick.

Debate prediction: You think David Gergen was bad? Wait until you get a load of the Queen of Smug Insufferablness who for some reason was chosen to moderate the final debate. The candidates will have to punch out moderator Cokie Roberts if they want to get a word in edgewise.

The election hasn't even happened yet, but Blue Mass. Group draws a favorable comparison between Karl Rove and Patrick manager John Walsh. Also: questions remain in the LaGuer case - even with the DNA testing.

You may recall David Drucker as the Cambridge resident so disgusted with the state of American democracy that he moved to Canada last year. Despite the fact he doesn't intend to come back, he's still registered to vote in Cambridge; he reports he recently sent in his absentee ballot:

Sandouri Dean Bey finds Grace Ross alluring:

Her message resonates with the working class, who rightly feel that they/ve been given the shaft by the political establishment.

Why is Kerry Healey letting LaGuer's lawyer work for the state?

Debate transcript. Ed Prisby breaks out the Miller Lite sixpack to help him watch the debate. Prisby may have some competition in the transcription biz.

On Channel 4 at 7 p.m. Jon Keller frets nobody will watch.

New Suffolk poll to show Patrick with 49-25 lead. Blue Mass. Group: No more talk about Patrick's vanishing lead.

Hub Politics: Patrick is still a coward for refusing to debate Healey one on one. Oh, and NOW is pro-rapist.

Mass. Marrier retorts:

I guess she's finally a real Republican. She wants to change the game when she's losing.

Those Inmates for Healey are real wimps. Doesn't take any prison smahts to stroll around Milton at 7 a.m. OK, tough guys, if you really want to impress us, drive up to Pride's Crossing tomorrow and kidnap Kerry Healey. Get really tough and muss her hair.

Outraged Liberal: Just when you thought the Healey campaign could not hit a new low, they come up with a way to surprise you.

Michael Gee, late of the Herald, rips into the Globe in general, and Brian McGrory in particular, for the coverage of last night's gubernatorial debate:

"And Grace Ross?" McGrory wrote of the Green party candidate last night. "She seems really nice. But let's step beyond the political correctness and admit that she has none of the support and qualifications that entitle her to a spot on the stage. She's a distraction and she no longer belongs." ...

Blue Mass. Group links to an FBI report showing that Massachusetts does have the highest violent-crime rate in the Northeast - even beating, gasp, New Jersey. Also, says Healey lied about the number of police on the street.
