Fringe Bridge
Did anyone else catch the new show "Fringe" on Fox the other night?
It's set in the Boston area.
Last night they used some whiz-bang new technology to see the last thing that a murder victim saw before she died.
The technician recognized the image as a bridge, a particular bridge that was familar to her because she "used to live in Dighton" (pronounced 'ditton') "It's in Stoughton, in the warehouse district"...
Behold, the "Sargent Bridge In Stoughton" :

Maybe it's near Town Spa.

Another local movie theatre closes

It was one of the Boston area's few remaining single-screen movie theatres, as well as one of the few remaining independent cinemas. Stoughton now joins the growing list of Boston-area suburbs that no longer have any movie theatres at all.
The only media coverage I've found is this Snyder's Stoughton column in the online Stoughton Journal. from October 4:

Danes out of Stoughton!
As Jay Fitzgerald puts it: You can't make this stuff up.
The Globe reports that the Stoughton No Place for Hate Committee is upset that the town administrator briefly flew a Danish flag outside Town Hall in support of Denmark. The group
plans to discuss the episode at its meeting tonight because of fears that residents might be hurt or insulted.
Hmm. As we know, the Israeli flag offends many Moslems. Perhaps the Stoughton No Place for Hate Committee should be asking all the temples in town to stop flying it. What? That's absurd? Oh, right.
