One brave little dog tries to stop stampede as cows moove out in search of greener grass on the other side of the fence.

Yes, they have cows in Framingham, what, you think it's just malls and traffic jams?

Meanwhile, over in Southborough, the seemingly contented cows of Breakneck Hill quietly plot their escape.

Just when you think nothing more can be said about the cows, along come Michael and Nomi with a report on their attempt to photograph every last one of the cows in a single day. Alas, there are just too many damn cows!

... As Nomi has noted, we saw 60 cows, more than half of the 117 total cows. But by the time we were wrapping up in the Boston Common, our feet were feeling beat. So we decided that we would have to continue our own personal MooTour another time. A few of our friends decided to go home as well, but some bravely journeyed on, and I'm hoping we'll hear reports of them having seen many more cows than we did. ...

On Skiing in Jeans, Emily takes the contrary view on the fiberglass cows:

... First of all, they already did this a few years ago--but they were fish...crazy ugly fish on parade.

Whether fish or cows, this is not art. At least, not "good art." This is not good public art. But, is this what the people like? Is this what the masses cry out for? Does this make people think? Of course not, but it certainly doesn't threathen them, which is probably the point. They are colorful and stupid and pointless. Wow--there's a cow with a painting of Fenway Park on it!
