A put-out citizen files a 311 complaint about the situation at Courthouse on the Silver Line:

City of Boston or MBTA, please do something: 3 people smoking weed INSIDE the entrance to the Silver Line Courthouse station, top of escalator. At the same station, one person blasting music at the lobby practicing skate boarding for the Olympics. 5:45 pm, Thursday February 29, 2024.

Boston Police report arresting a Newton man on charges he reacted to being denied a drink at the bar at Lola 42, 22 Liberty Dr. by hurling some water at the bar then heading into the men's room to break a sink and set fire to a trash barrel. Read more.

Beacon Capital Partners last week filed plans with the BPDA for a ten-story life-sciences lab building on Northern Avenue at Channel Street, next to the similar building it's already constructing there as part of its 4.4-acre South Boston Innovation Campus, where the Seaport turns into the Raymond Flynn Marine Park. The Boston Licensing Board today approved a request from a chain called Museum of Ice Cream to open at 121 Seaport Blvd. and to buy the beer and wine license from Dig on Boylston Street in the Back Bay. Read more.

The Boston Licensing Board decides tomorrow whether to allow a New York restaurant that serves cheeseburgers with a kimchi-infused topping and other "Korean fusion" dishes open an outlet in the Seaport, with a bar that will serve what its lawyer said would be an extensive list of soju and other Korean liquors. Rainbow over Cambridge

Did you notice it briefly got lighter for a bit a little after 1? Alisa Bokulich looked out from her office at BU and captured the rainbow that sprang up over Cambridge before it got dark and stormy again.

The Boston Licensing Board today approved a liquor license for the proposed F1 Arcade at 87 Pier 4 Blvd., which will feature 69 F1 race-car simulators and, of course, a full-service bar. Read more.

The Boston Licensing Board today gave Stubbys, which focuses on sandwiches and wraps at 43 Northern Ave., permission to extend its closing time from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. At a hearing yesterday, nobody voiced opposition.

The Boston Licensing Board today ordered Coquette, inside the Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport, shut for two days as punishment for incident in which two BPD detectives found a table of six teenagers - one just 16 - at a table with drinks in front of them around midnight on Nov. 25. Read more.
