The Boston Fire Department reports firefighters responded to 107 Jersey St. for a fire in a top-floor apartment around 12:45 p.m.

A key player in the development of the Seaport, the Red Sox and the D'Angelo family, which owns stores on Jersey Street across from Fenway Park, today filed plans with the BPDA for a 2.1-million-square-foot redevelopment of several parcels around Fenway that will include residential units, new retail space, offices and, of course, life-sciences research space. The developer behind the 23-acre Seaport Square project in the Seaport says it will soon file plans to redevelop a total of eight acres around Fenway Park - including a deck over the Massachusetts Turnpike - that will include eight new buildings with offices, residential space, restaurants and stores. Boston Police report arresting a man whose description matched that of the guy spotted by witnesses firing a gun around 12:15 this morning on Jersey Street at Queensberry Street - after a car chase, crash and foot pursuit through Dudley Square. Read more.

WCVB reports that city board has finally up and approved changing the name of Yawkey Way to Jersey Street, WCVB reports. Now the MBTA has to figure out how to change the name of its nearby commuter-rail station.

Around 10:20 p.m. in the Fens near Park Drive and Jersey Street.

Both suspects were black and wore dark hoodies; one was about 5'10" and the other about 5'8". One pointed a gun, the other a Taser.
