It's one thing for a blogger to make a mistake (heck, I do it all the time). It's quite another for him to read a reply calling him out for that mistake, fix the mistake, then accuse the commenter of making things up. Then again, this is Butch Stearns on Fox25 we're talking about.

It's the top of the ninth, Red Sox-Yankees, Sox up 4-3, two outs, nobody on, Papelbon pitching, full count.

What does Fox25 do? They take the game off the air and put on a NASCAR race!

Once again, amongst a sorry lot of local jock-sniffers and celebrators, it was FOX25's Butchy Stearns who cloaked himself in the most disgrace during a live shot with shortstop Julio Lugo between 12:45 and 1 a.m. Switching to Stearns at Fenway as Lugo let out a subtle puff of smoke from his stogie, Stearns instructed the player to, "Give me another puff on that baby. Show me."

Lugo obliged as a Nation vomited. If the Beckett F-bomb on FOX 25 last week wasn't bad enough, here was Stearns cajoling smoke out of an athlete in pornographic terms! ...

Fox 25 News salivates as it reports on the horror that is a condom billboard across from a Catholic school - only mentioning at the very end that, you know, school's out for the summer and all.

Next up: Channel 25 reports that Catholic children might see the very same ad on the T! And then, in an exclusive report, Channel 25 reports that Catholic children might see the very same ad in a Channel 25 report about the very same ad!

Yeah, yeah, Nat. But Channel 25's David Wade also left the anchordesk, although a bit less amiably - he was escorted to the door.

How else to explain why a Fox 25 News van is currently taking up two parking spaces, one marked for handicap access, outside eeka's office? Because we know that Fox 25 News would never, ever do something unfair and unbalanced as to deprive somebody who might actually need the space.

Charley on the MTA feels his brain melting every time he watches, like last night, when the lead story was, no, not mayhem in the Hub or even the Sox, but the identity of Anna Nicole Smith's babydaddy:
