Historic Boston, Inc. yesterday filed plans with the BPD to build a three-story, 14-unit condo building on Hawthorne Street in Roxbury, behind the currently empty St. James African Orthodox Church on Cedar Street, which the group would renovate into commercial space after completing the condos. NBC Boston reports that police found one man shot and another with a possible stab wound outside 5 Cedar St., off Washington Street, in Roxbury shortly before midnight.
Boston firefighters responded to 38 Cedar St. in Mattapan around 11:50 a.m. for a second-floor fire that they quickly knocked down.
Boston Police report arresting Shawn Pedilla, 39, of Roxbury, for a stabbing on Oct. 31 that sent two men to the hospital, one with injuries initially considered life threatening. Read more.

Boston Police report two men were stabbed around 7:30 p.m. at 70 Cedar St. PCFN reports one of the men was stabbed in the stomach. The homicide unit was called in due to the severity of his injuries.
At Cedar and Washington streets, around 9:50 p.m. Injuries not considered life threatening.

The Herald reports on how people coming home from work at a money-transfer place with the cash in a suitcase Tuesday afternoon were targeted by three guys who stopped their car and took the suitcase - only to be stopped themselves several hours later, by police.

Boston Police report a man, 30, was shot at 55 Cedar St. shortly before 10 p.m. on Thursday. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Around 9:20 p.m. on Cedar Street near Sanford. Because of the severity of the person's injuries, the homicide unit was called in.
