The Herald reports the keeper of special collections at the BPL in Copley Square has been put on leave as police and now the FBI investigate the disappearance of two valuable prints from the library.

The Boston Licensing Board recently granted the owner of an Ontario sushi restaurant permission to move into the space occupied by a homegrown sushi place on Newbury Street.

Wabora Sushi can operate under a temporary Boston license until it receives final approval from the state Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission to serve beer and wine at 254 Newbury St., where it will use the license it's buying from Ikura Sushi at the same location.

The BRA board today approved new plans for a $500-million, 52-story tower atop Copley Place after the mall's owner agreed to add an extra five affordable apartments - an increase housing activists, such as former state Rep. Mel King, said was far from enough. Read more.

You wouldn't think it would need to be said, but apparently it does:

Motorists driving trucks, including box and rental trucks, are urged to check the height restrictions along their planned route and make route adjustments as necessary. Specifically, truck drivers on Storrow Drive, Soldiers Field Road, and Memorial Drive are urged to pay attention to all relevant signs regarding bridge height.

Transit Police report arresting three teens - two 15 and one 16 - on charges they wrenched a man's iPhone 5s out of his hand after he got off an inbound Orange Line train at Back Bay around 12:40 p.m. yesterday.

The Boston Licensing Board decides tomorrow whether to let Lir, 903 Boylston St. stay open until 2 a.m., an hour later than at present.

Lir is the only one of the four bars on that stretch of Boylston that currently has to close at 1 a.m. Read more.

Transit Police report they are looking for David Perez, 22, on charges he held up the Dartmouth Street flower stand at Back Bay station twice and took the tip jar from the Cha Cha Taqueria food cart inside the station.

for some common sense at 7-11. Went in there earlier for my daily chocolate fix, and saw notices by every register that they are now only accepting cash for scratch ticket purchases (no more debit cards).

Now,I typically stay far away from buying scratch tickets, but I'm still curious. Is this is a 7-11 policy or a Mass Lottery one? If it is a Lottery policy, perhaps the state could go one better and eliminate 90% of the current games - especially the ones that are so old the odds of winning any prize, especially the one remaining big prize, are almost next to nil.

The three museums on Columbia Point are offering a free trolley bus ride from the Back Bay to Columbia Point on Saturdays and Sundays through Nov. 1.

Copley Square times: 9 a.m., 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m.
