A developer has filed a proposal with the BRA to add three floors to the old Standard Rivet Co. building at 69 A St. and build a new six-story extension to create room for five floors of office space and a fitness club and retail space at the ground level. Read more.

Visa set its new ad, the one featuring Rob Gronkowski and other Gronkowskis, in South Boston (the family's actually from upstate New York). Eileen Murphy, who captured some of the filming, reports her car briefly appears in one scene. Read more.

No immediate word on just what they were doing in the tail end of Fort Point Channel shortly after 11 a.m., but Boston firefighters got them a ladder, they climbed out and now they're under the care of Boston EMS.

Banker & Tradesman reports Whiskey Priest and the Atlantic Beer Garden would join Jimmy's Harborside and Anthony's Pier 4 as places that used to be under a developer's proposal for a mixed-use tower designed, as these things are, by Elkus Manfredi.

City and state officials today signed a letter of intent with Grand Prix Boston that gets a yearly car race through the streets around the South Boston Convention Center closer to the starting line.
Under the proposal, the private organizers would assume responsibility for all costs associated with the race and agree to return the streets they use to pre-race conditions when they're done.
The first race is scheduled for Labor Day weekend, 2016.
