A very large skunk was aggressively wrestling with a white kitchen bag full of trash in the alleyway between 44-46 Charter St. Its head and body were protruding through a locked gate as it attempted to rip open the bag and/or pull it through the gate. I'm sure there will be lots of litter to be cleaned up in the morning. Should probably send someone from animal control to investigate. I'm not easily startled, but this skunk was huge!
Ristorante Damiano, 307-309 Hanover St., is moving away from small plates - and is seeking a name change to go with its move to what its attorney calls "full service" Italian food: Separate appetizers, entrees, the whole nine yards.
Other than the name and menu change, attorney William Ferrullo told the Boston Licensing Board today, the restaurant is not planning any changes.
The board votes Thursday on whether to approve the name change. The board does not vote on cuisine.
NorthEndWaterfront.com reports that when a woman reported her purse had been stolen while she sat at the bar at Goody Glover's on Halloween, they activated her phone's "find me" function - and the phone signaled its presence inside a bartender's own purse. Bartender ran out the door, followed by police, who nabbed her.
