Big Dig ice cream

Sure, Brigham's no longer exists as a company, and the Big Dig's been over for awhile now, but you can still get Brigham's Big Dig ice cream at the Stop & Shop on Truman Parkway in Hyde Park.

Fire at 9 Greenwood Ave. in Hyde Park

A four-alarm fire that broke out around 5:30 p.m. at 9 Greenwood Ave. sent five residents - two of them children - and two firefighters to the hospital.

On arrival, firefighters rescued two adults and two children down a ladder.

Police are looking for a man who tried to hold up the Fairmont Food Mart on Truman Parkway at Fairmount Avenue around 6:40 p.m.

He's described as black, 23 to 25, very skinny, 5'10" and wearing a black jacket and wielding a kitchen knife.

The Globe reports police are investigating why the two failed to try to corroborate Stephanie McMahon's assertion she had a restraining order against her boyfriend on Nov. 16 of last year. The Boston Fire Department reports a fire at 13 Elm St. this afternoon did an estimated $75,000 in damage and sent one firefighter to the hospital with a neck injury.

The cause of the second-floor fire, reported around 2:15 p.m., remains under investigation.
