Acela train may have hit something in Roslindale, but whatever it was, it wasn't a person

Boston Fireman reports Boston rescue crews and Amtrak police rushed to the tracks near Hyde Park Avenue and Cummins Highway around 11:40 a.m. this morning, initially on reports the train hit somebody. Boston Fireman says the incident did mean "residual delays" for train riders on the line.

Something may have happened. Or not. Let's report it, if there was an it.

I don't suppose anyone got off their butt and actually asked Amtrak? No, no, of course not. Just cut-and-paste the third-hand tweet.

Eventually, presuming people's minds are not totally turned to mush by tweets and blogs, they will realize that actual news organizations with care and caution were invented for a reason, and reinvent that wheel. After destroying it and gloating about it, of course.
