No more fatties in Danehy Park when I walk the dog? WTF?

since cigarette smokers who quit often gain weight?

That said, I think this is an overreach by the city government.n Ban it in kids' playgrounds, sure, but not in an entire big park like Danehy.

A couple other problems come with ciggies. Massholes love to flick 'em. This means litter and brush fires. Large parks like Danehy have some brushfire fuel around - just add masshole.

I'm sure bicyclists will be exempted from this new law, just as they are exempt from all traffic laws.

I love puffing away on a cancer stick as I bike around town!

Except you need a kid straddling your top tube to go with that ciggy.

Today's news from Cambridge is brought to you by the word "asinine".

Once you start banning smoking outdoors, it has gone from being a health concern to shitting on people you don't like.

When they outlaw smoking, only outlaws will smoke.

In my opinion they should focus on banning smoking where it affects nonsmokers.

Parks are big enough so that it's easy to avoid smoke. But it's hard to walk down the sidewalk past certain bars without having to smell it, so I'd prefer it if they banned smoking there (not that there's a practical legal way to do so).
