JP libertarian jumps into race to replace Tobin

Sean Ryan of Jamaica Plain, who ran for an at-large city council seat last year, said today he is running for the District 6 seat being vacated by John tobin.
Ryan, a Boston public-school teacher, said he will make education the focus of his campaign. At an at-large candidate debate last year, he called for an end to school busing, an increase in the number of charter schools and a 10% pay cut for all city workers.
Also last year, Ryan blamed the Federal Reserve for 9/11.
Meanwhile, David Bernstein introduces us to two more potential candidates from the JP side of the district: Jessica Taubner, policy director for at-large city councilor Ayanna Pressley, and Valerie Frias, who has worked for everybody from Jarrett Barrios to Patrick Leahy.

how liberals like Adam claim to be so anti-war, but attack (or simply misrepresent the views of) someone who is also anti-war and who points out exactly HOW the U.S. government can afford to make one war after another?

The U.S. government is now able to afford interest payments on massive amounts of debt. ->
The U.S. government is able to run massive budget deficits, and create the largest military in history, without having to tax Americans or cut entitlement programs to pay for it. ->
The military is then used to bomb, occupy, and otherwise control many other nations, most notably those in the middle east. We have continuously made war in the middle east since 1991.
The result is anti-American terrorism.
In order to be a statesman, one has to follow policies through to their ULTIMATE results, not merely the most apparent ones.
So what you're saying is ...

Count the steps...
Cause: Fed pushes down interest rate.
Step 1. US gov't can afford interest payments.
2. US gov't can run massive deficits.
3. US gov't can creat the largest military in history.
4. Military then used to bomb, occupy, etc. lots of places.
5. US continuously makes war in Middle East since 1991.
6. Result: anti-American terrorism.
Really, this could be a game anybody can play, like the Kevin Bacon game. Can you get to 9/11 in six steps? Working backwards makes it easier. Hey, I think 9/11 was caused by college tuition inflation.
Cause: College tuition undergoes obscene inflation.
1. American kids mostly can't afford obscenely expensive and expansionist universities like BU, which must fill its ranks otherwise.
2. BU fills up with rich Saudi kids who booze it up, snort coke, and drive their SUVs over the dunes, claiming diplomatic immunity.
3. Nobody wants to join the Saudi defense forces because it's too much fun getting shitfaced in America.
4. Saudi Arabia is unable to defend itself against threats from Iraq.
5. US stations troops in Saudi Arabia
6. Result: anti-American terrorism.
