Umbrellageddon

Oh, the humanity! Copley Square turned into a battlefield last night as wind and umbrellas clashed - and wind proved the better, leaving the square littered with the detritus of its vanquished foes. Oddjob photographed the carnage (click for far more photos).

Gloucester Port-a-potty lost at sea
Joey reports.
Any port
Any port-a-potty in a storm.
Hehe!
Would it make any difference? (lol)
Storm ate mine, too
Cheap umbrellas can be undone by far less, but that storm was a doozey: it finally killed my good full-sized umbrella, a previously indestructible tank I'd had for ten years, one that had survived many a blizzard and Nor'easter.
Not limited to Copley
There were quite a few around Brighton on my way in to work today.
It was bedlam in Copley too last night. Then close to midnight it stopped raining and the wind calmed a bit. It was that kind of calm you get in the eye of a hurricane...it was very weird.
