So all four citywide, at-large seats are open. Since there are fewer than twice the number of candidates for the seats, there won't be a preliminary in September, just the general election in November.

The nine istrict seats are also open, although the only seats that will have a September preliminary are districts 3 (Dorchester), 7 (Roxbury) and 2 (South Boston, South End, Chinatown).

While District 3 is heavily contested and up for a fight, I see the at-large as the most exciting. I'm urging folk to go to as many debates and debate-like-events (forums) as they learn about. It's a good show.
