Boloco: City inspectors threatened to shut restaurant over burrito donations to event organized by the mayor

I think this event came together really quickly. The Mayor's office asked Bolocco to do them a favor to make the event more attractive at an odd time (I suspect it was post-lunch to avoid the circus start time?) . Boloco graciously agreed, and it's too bad that they're getting persecuted. I hope the mayor steps up and makes the problem go away.

This is a good example of the drag that the Menino administration is on the city.

First, the shakedown for the "donation" of burritos.

Then, they stumble over themselves to try to shakedown Boloco again.

When times were good, Menino's incompetence was masked by the late Joe Casazza, who paid attention to public works and had the money to fix them.

Aside from that, no development strategy, or harebrained schemes to move City Hall, or demolish historic buildings before the project is ready to move forward. Holes in the ground.

Menino governs like a third-world dictator, he'll probably run for another term.

Holy guacamole, I hope someone spills the beans on this.

Maybe Inspectional Services should go out and inspect restaurants on a regular schedule, and actually put the results of those inspections in the windows of the establishments for all to see - just like they do in many, many other places.

That would be too much like work, though.
