Boston is so good (so good, so good)

A year in the making, by some Berklee students with a dream. Watch for the cameo by the entire fist-pumping Boston City Council.

1)Boston has more to it than sports teams, the Marathon, or the duckboats.

2)If you're going to talk about how it's all "the people", how about actually showing Boston residents instead of your fellow Berklee college students?

2)Boston is larger than the triangle between the Public Garden, the Cambridge side of the river, and Berklee.

This isn't "Boston". This is "what a sheltered, uncultured, sports-obsessed dudebro who hasn't ventured more than a mile from Berklee in 3 years thinks of Boston."

Where are the neighborhoods? For fuck's sakes, you couldn't even hop on the green line into Allston?

Where's the Hatch Shell concerts or 4th of July? Hub On Wheels? The MFA? Shakespeare on the Common? Fanuel Hall? Old Ironsides (okay, so that's Charlestown, sue me. He was happy to dance on the Cambridge side of the river.) JFK Library? Children's Museum/Museum of Science? Biomedical research? People actually PLAYING sports (gasp! Shocking! Sometimes Bostonians actually swing a bat at a ball themselves!), the Harbor Islands? Crew teams? Sailing?

1) It's a three-minute music video, not a half-hour documentary.

2) Bostonians *are* shown playing sports -- did you somehow miss the multiple shots of Boston Marathon runners?

3) Think of it as a response to Randy Newman's "I Love LA". (No, I'm not related to him)

...which repeated nearly identical shots over, and over, and over. Shots which were all within one very small area of Boston.

For god sakes, he could have even shown a little more variety when he was standing in the garden. Like...you know, posing with the famous ducklings, singing from one of the swan boats, etc.

I saw one guy who sort of looked like he was a runner. Mostly I saw footage from the Bruins victory parade.

You also missed the two-man scull in the Charles around the 0:50s mark.

Then pick out something like the fact that at the 0:20s mark of the video, he sings "yeah, I'm in Boston"...while standing on the Cambridge side of the Mass Ave Bridge.

Boston from May-ish until about mid-to-late August, mostly because douchebag dudebros like Mr. Sideways Sox Hat are less prevalent.

Perhaps it's just my massive pet peeve for trying to define the city's identity as being about the Sox, Bruins, Celtics, and Patriots.

And in my spare time, I steal candy from babies in crosswalks while riding my bicycle.

...ya think this kind of response is why people find us so unfriendly?

Boston native here, and yes, they filmed from the Cambridge side, but it has one of the best views of the Boston skyline. I did the same for my wedding pictures. Cute them some slack. Are you going to hate the tourists, too, since they tend to focus on the downtown landmarks?

Not my favorite song, but nice effort. I have seen their band live, and this song doesn't even begin to showcase the talent of the group.
